I've been thinking about a quip from Albert Einstein throughout my reading this summer:
"Reading, after a certain age, diverts the mind too much from its creative pursuits. Any man who reads too much and uses his own brain too little falls into lazy habits of thinking."
I don't think I yet have much to say in agreement or disagreement with that statement, but perhaps you do.
Since writing this, I finished The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest by Stieg Larsson. SO good!
ReplyDeleteThoroughly enjoyed the whole "The Girl..." series. The Swedish-made movies are great too. Word on the street is Hollywood is going to take a swing at them too.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think that the first American version (directed by David Fincher) is due out this December. I'm definitely excited to see it!
