I read this pdf file today for my UReddit Introduction to Web Design course. I assume that most people don't get excited about the prospect of studying typography. Well, the writers of this particular document kept that in mind. It describes your relationship with fonts, typeface, and x-heights using the same terms one might get from a ninth-grade health teacher giving "the talk." The results are pretty cute, and worth a quick read :)
